Online applications open for the 2026-27 session
Counselling and admission to the Diploma in Pharmacy course for the academic year 2026-27 at the three Government Pharmacy Institutes - Institute of Pharmacy Kalyani, Institute of Pharmacy Bankura and Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri - will be conducted by the State Medical Faculty of West Bengal.
Online application forms are available from 13-08-2026. The last date of online submission of filled-in application forms is 20-08-2026 up to 5 p.m. The application fee is Rs. 600 for all candidates. The course commences on 1st September 2026.
Before you begin, procure and collect the original documents you will need at counselling: the H.S certificate, domicile certificate, medical fitness certificate, vision certificate, and the EWS, TFW, PH or caste certificate in the appropriate format from the appropriate authority. A candidate who fails to produce the required original documents during verification will have his or her candidature cancelled on the spot.

Fees payable at the allotted college
Admission fee Rs. 500. Tuition fee Rs. 1200 per year, waived for TFW candidates. Session fee Rs. 100. Registration fee Rs. 800. Caution deposit Rs. 200. Hostel seat rent Rs. 1200 per year where the facility is available at the allotted college.
The admitted candidate must deposit the original H.S. (10+2) marksheet and certificate with the allotted college against a receipt. Keep that receipt safely: the originals are returned against it on completion of, or resignation from, the course.

Documents required at verification and counselling
1. Downloaded copy of the filled-in application form together with the provisional rank card.
2. Original and two self attested copies of age proof (birth certificate or Madhyamik admit card).
3. Original and two self attested copies of the 10+2 or equivalent marksheet.
4. Original and two self attested copies of the H.S. or equivalent certificate.
5. Original domicile certificate from the appropriate authority.
6. Original eye check-up certificate from a registered eye specialist.
7. Original medical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner.
8. Original and self attested copy of the SC / ST / OBC-A / OBC-B / PH certificate, in appropriate cases.
9. EWS certificate in the prescribed format.
10. Annual family income certificate for the TFW scheme, in the appropriate format.
11. Self undertaking by the candidate in the prescribed format.
12. Three stamp size recent colour photographs.
Admission of PH candidates is subject to verification and approval by the Medical Board at Medical College and Hospital, 88 College Street, Kolkata 700 073.

Seats at the three institutes
Institute of Pharmacy, Kalyani - approved intake 60, EWS 6, TFW 3, total 69.
Institute of Pharmacy, Bankura - approved intake 60, EWS 6, TFW 3, total 69.
Institute of Pharmacy, Jalpaiguri - approved intake 56, EWS 6, TFW 3, total 65.
Four GTA seats at the Institute of Pharmacy, Jalpaiguri, will be allotted by the GTA, Darjeeling.
EWS seats are 10 per cent and TFW seats 5 per cent of the approved intake, and both are supernumerary. These seats will be filled only by candidates for whom the benefit is meant; if they are not filled they remain vacant and are not given to any other category.
