GTA seats

Admission against the GTA reserved seats at the Institute of Pharmacy, Jalpaiguri, by the GTA, Darjeeling, will be decided later and notified separately.

Reservation

Seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Classes candidates, and for physically handicapped candidates, as per the existing rules of the Government of West Bengal. Candidates must carry the original and a self attested photocopy of the caste or physically handicapped certificate issued by the competent authority.

EWS and TFW

EWS seats are 10 per cent and TFW seats 5 per cent of the approved intake. Both are supernumerary. The TFW waiver is limited to the tuition fee, and selection under the scheme is decided during counselling on merit from among the eligible candidates.

These seats are filled only by candidates for whom the benefit is meant, and not by the institution itself. If they are not filled they remain vacant and are not given to candidates of any other category.

Upgradation

College upgradation is not available this year. Once a candidate is allotted or admitted to a seat at a particular institute, he or she cannot appear for further upgradation at another institute.

Commencement

The course will commence on and from 1st September 2026.
